Nap Boy...aka Bedhog

Taking a nap around my house intails a lot of bodies. First thing is getting Mr. Tigger to shove over and make a spot for me. I thought you might enjoy seeing how he naps. I also tend to have Missy vieing for the pillow with me, and Jack always wants under the covers. Jack's main problem is that he acts like a cat. Soon as we get settled in, he starts bathing...just like a durn cat. There is no making him stop either. Not until he has those feet clean.
I just checked...the bed is empty.....gotta go while I can.......

Almost up to snuff

Well my ISP got my mail going again. Things still aren't right. I have a hard time getting websites to load up. I went ahead and opened up a gmail account. I may end up liking the format. But juno is so easy to handle.
My son tortured me some more this morning. This is one of the pictures he sent me. I will have to figure out which is my favorite and make it my desktop background. Mr. Tyler beats an ocean scene any day of the week.

on second thought

my mail problems with juno quite possibly be with my isp. They have screwed with settings before and locked me out of websites before. I think there may be a phone call in the works for the morning since I can dial through juno and get online and pick up my mail from the website and even got it to download to my computer. Hmmm.....the idiot may be jacking with things again.
Ya know, they should only allow people who know what they are doing to own service providers.

Mail program problems

Just in case anyone hasn't been able to get in touch with me, I am having problems with my Juno mail. It worked fine last night, but today I can't connect to pick up mail. I have tried everything to fix the problem, even did a system restore....nothing. I can't even get juno.com to come up online through IE. My next step is to back up my mail and addresses and reinstall juno. I sure hope this works.
In the meantime, my other mail account is cyndyeb@yahoo.com
Yes Chris, I will now open a gmail account.

Rain....well, maybe....and life isn't fair sometimes

I open up today with a picture of my oldest sons' girlfriend. Believe it or not, she is hard at work in this picture. We should all have such hard jobs,eh? And yes, that is Steven Tyler of Aerosmith that she is standing behind. No, it's not a poster. Personally I couldn't have done that pose without my hand creeping to....well, use your imagination. She and Chris had close up seats at the Aerosmith concert in San Antonio the other night.
You know what bites the worst? Besides me not getting to be there.....after the promotional photo shoot, Mr Tyler gave her a kiss. She not only wounds me....she was thoughtful enough to rub salt in the wound.

Seems Texas got rain today. I think I got some. My rain gauge was damp in the bottom. I think it was just enough to rehydrate the gauge. There were actual puddles in town, but that doesn't help me one bit.
So....I got out my datebook from last year and tried to find the last time I got any rain down here. I had to go all the way back to October 13 when I got an inch and 2 tenths. This really chaps when I have to watch news out of Dallas and they whine about not having any rain since mid December and how dry it is there. Oh, poor things. They have another chance this week. I have no idea when our next chance comes.
I am still downed by allergies. Of course, a good rain would help clear things up for me. I am hoping that what little we got will put me back on my feet. I have to keep a cough medicine with codeine beside my bed in order to sleep. I even had to take some just to take a nap. I am so ready to be through with the snot, drainage, coughing and energy drain.

Depressing Evening

Tonight would have been okay. And evening full of cooking supper and watching tv. That is...until my oldest son called. He is at the Aerosmith concert in San Antonio....with 7th row seats. Life just ain't fair. He is under orders to get me a signed tshirt.
I can't believe my kid is at an Aerosmith concert and I'm not!

Hanging my head in shame

Poor little blog. It has been so neglected the past couple of weeks. But hey, I am practicing for old age since my last blog was right after my birthday. It's pretty bad when hubby even notices I am behind on entries and emails me. At least he emailed me when he was out of town and not sitting in the other room.
I do have a good excuse. I got felled by the crud again. Just as I was starting to recover I went down again. Then when I started feeling better, I had to spend a day shopping. That always puts me down for a day or two. So, I am back up again...even scrubbed toilets the other day. You know you are going to live when you feel like scrubbing toilets. Too bad I did it the day after I put on nail polish for the first time in months.
I think I mentioned that Kim's boss brought me silk back from his trip to China. I have got to get a picture of it to post here. I have it sitting on the dining table right now so I won't forget it. Well, it has been sitting there for two days now....so no promises. It is really beautiful stuff. Now I just have to figure out what to do with it.
So this is what we call in the south a lick and a promise. Which means I will be back with more interesting things later.

Finally updating again

I hadn't realized it had been so long since I updated this blog! So got a lot of typing to do.
First off....went to see Dr. Di. Got an shot and antibiotic prescription. My cold is almost cleared up, but still can't hear out of my left ear. It is trying to open though. I can't tell you just how irritating it is not to be able to hear well.
Kim and I stayed up to welcome in the new year. Then Chris came through on his way home from visiting his girls. We exchanged Christmas and fed him. The next day was his 30th birthday. I have a gift for him but the other person involved in it hasn't kept up their end, so I need to call and harrass until it is ready. I would like Chris to have it in his birth month at least.
Then the next day...the 4th....I turned 49. Ouch! Kim was out of town, so Cheree took me to my traditional dinner at the Steak House. Not long after we sat down and ordered, Earlie, my other neighbor, came in on his dinner break. He sat with us and we had a very nice visit. He even picked up the tab for my birthday. Cheree and I then got ice cream and a slushy from the Sonic on the way home. All in all a good day.
Last night I went to a Fitness Program meeting at our Wellness Center. They are starting up an 8 week fitness competition with teams. Apparently most of the people there already knew what was going on and had formed teams. That left a handful of us to make a team. I suggested the name The Leftovers. Everyone liked it. Then we were told we needed to pick a team captain. Before I could even draw breath, they all named me. Yikes! The only thing I have ever been leader of was trouble. This is going to be a real challenge for me.
On the crafty catagory.....lots of vows to finish some things, but not a whole lot done yet. I did finish knitting a Booga bag and am almost finished with the six foot of I-cord for the handle. It will probably all go in the wash today for felting. I think it is going to be a pretty cool bag. I started my Picolovi top for the Sexy Knitters Club Knit along. I am doing mine in a linen/silk blend yarn. That should be cool enough to be able to wear in my warm climate.
Well, that's it for now. Gotta get off my duff and get some things done. Hopefully I will have pictures to post in the next day or two.
